Narabri (Australia Telescope)

I had hoped to continue with my narrations of the places I've visited during our Christmas driving holiday in Malaysia overy the Chinese New Year but who was I kidding eh? Who would have chosen to spend time infront of the computer when one can spend time with family and friends, especially when the opportunity for the latter is only limited to two weeks. There is plenty of time for me to sit infront of the computer when I'm back in Brissy - like now.

Hence, I shall continue with this little project and hope to complete it before my next holiday.

At Narabri, we found Australia telescope. It's a centre researching astronomical findings through radio telescopes. It's very similar to the ones we saw in the movie Contact starring Jodi Foster. Although, unlike the one Mexico where they have loads placed in a huge open field, Narabri had 5 positioned up and down in various points along 2 kms of rail track. Being there, I'm humbled by the brilliance and dedication of so many towards a field of study. It makes me think that I'm not using enough of my brain and I lack passion for knowledge. hhhmmm... I'll have to think on that.
